―– Retrospect and prospect of the fifth anniversary of ATDC

By Gary Wyatt ,  Chairman, America Trade Development Council

As we bid farewell to the hard times of 2020 and meet the year of the Ox, the America Trade Development Council (ATDC) is celebrating its fifth anniversary.

We would like to express our warm greetings to the ATDC on its fifth anniversary! And we would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciations to all colleagues, partners and friends who have been caring and supporting the development of the ATDC for many years.

The ATDC is a non-governmental organization approved by the U.S. government and staffed by a number of former senior officials of the U.S. government. Since its establishment, it has cooperated with enterprises from all over the world to provide all-round services for numerous enterprises to develop international markets and improve the visibility of those enterprises and products.

Build a trading platform with international famous enterprises

The ATDC is a member of the U. S. Soybean Export Council. It has established direct cooperation with a number of large international companies in the business of commodities like soybeans, corn, sorghum, barley, sugar, etc.

It also directly connects with internationally renowned large meat processing enterprises and aquatic product companies to reduce intermediate stages and save enterprise procurement costs in order to manage meat, aquatic products in the cold chain.
In the field of energy, it has established business cooperation relationship with the world-famous international energy companies for many years. For example, it signed an agency agreement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), responsible for the development of the Asian market, especially the Chinese market. It has created distinctive supply chain management advantages and strong market competitiveness for its partners in the areas of crude oil, light cycle oil, liquefied petroleum gas, iron ore, copper ore, bauxite and rare metal boxes, waste metal recycling and other energy and materials.
ATDC’s Tianjin Representative Office has established a comprehensive strategic partnership with the Tianjin Chamber of Commerce for importers and exporters and Tianjin Port Exchange Market to promote the development of bilateral business.

Actively promote the internationalization of traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals to benefit human health

In order to promote the internationalization of Chinese Medicine, a seminar on the inheritance and innovation of Chinese and American traditional medicine was held in Los Angeles in June 2017. Following this, a forum on the internationalization of Chinese medicine was held and the Traditional Chinese medicine Foundation of United Nations was established in 2018. Presentations on the internationalization of traditional Chinese Medicine were made at Tsinghua University in Beijing by Bruce, president of the United Nations Information Agency, Mr. Knotts, and Ms. Sherill Kazan, president of the People’s Council of the United Nations. ATDC’s president Gary Wyatt also gave a speech at the 2018 United Nations diplomatic conference, expanding the international reach of TCM.

In partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, the ATDC recently established a traditional Medicine Rehabilitation Center at Boston Medical Center to set up a demonstration project for the comprehensive promotion of Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation in the United States.
The ATDC actively participates in the activities of the Union of Chinese acupuncturists in California, and plays an active role in promoting the internationalization of Chinese medicine.

Carry out humanistic exchanges promoting the integration of eastern and Western cultures
In 2018, the ATDC established the American Qi Baishi Art Institute to promote understanding and friendship between Eastern and Western cultures. The group held a “concern with society” exhibition and symposium with China East-West Art Academy in Los Angeles, which the American Art Circle and Society well received.  New cooperative relations are now being created with a number of Chinese cultural institutions.

Get involved in American society and be active in community activities

Each year the ATDC participates in the activities of Congresswoman Amy Cho and California Senator Ben Chou to donate toys and educational supplies to children in the community at Christmas. This project shares love to children in need and has become one of southern California’s largest charity “compassion” cooperations.

Looking back over the past five years, we have made great achievements, and we have a long way to go in the future.

Our Focus for 2021:

1.Building a service platform for bilateral economic and trade cooperation within the framework of a fair international trading system.

  1. Working hard to do a good job in the protection of intellectual property rights, holding timely exchange activities related to intellectual property rights protection, and doing a good job in the application, registration and protection of intellectual property rights.
  2. Preparing to hold the “Import Food Expo” in China where we will introduce famous, excellent and special foods from the United States and other countries into the Chinese market.

Let us work together to create a better future for America Trade Development Council.
