Coronavirus Update: Confirmed Cases in California Reach 312,344 with 6,945 Deaths

Sacramento, CA—There are 312,344 confirmed coronavirus cases to date in California, according the California Department of Public Health.

California’s positivity rate– a key indicator of community spread – is trending upward in the 14-day average.  And hospitalization rates are also trending upward in the 14-day average.

There have been 5,275,695 tests conducted in California. This represents an increase of 99,958 tests over the prior 24-hour reporting period.

There have been 6,945 COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Thirty-one counties in the state have one of the following: indoor closure orders, indoor closure orders in progress, or indoor closure orders that will be required if on the County Monitoring List for three or more days.
