12,026 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in the State of California as of April 4

Sacramento–The California Department of Public Health today announced the most recent statistics on COVID-19. California now has 12,026 confirmed cases and 276 deaths.

As of April 3, local health departments have reported 175 confirmed positive cases in health care workers. For more information on COVID-19 and California’s response visit the California Department of Public Health website.

As of April 3, approximately 126,700 tests had been conducted in California. At least 113,687 results have been received and another 13,000 are pending. These numbers include data California has received from commercial, private and academic labs, including Quest, LabCorp, Kaiser, University of California and Stanford, and the 22 state and county health labs currently testing.
