Young Kim’s Election Kickoff Fundraiser a Great Success

Rowland Heights, CA– Young Kim kicked off the first fundraiser of her 2020 Congressional Campaign at STC Center in Rowland Heights on June 7, with over 200 supporters, community leaders and elected officials, underscoring the strong enthusiastic support she receives in the 39th Congressional District.

Kim thanked the crowd, saying “I am grateful for the outpouring of support I have received from all of you. I am running to give back to this country that has given me so many opportunities that I would not have had elsewhere. I believe in the American Dream because I have lived the American Dream. I know it’s possible and I am running to make sure that all Americans, no matter their race, gender, or background, have the opportunity to succeed like I did. Every Californian deserves the same chance.”

Orange County Republican Party Chairman Fred Whitaker said “In 2018, Young faced a green wave of money in the most expensive congressional race against a lottery winner. However, she ran an incredibly strong campaign and almost won. Young is a fighter who will take back the 39th District.”

Former Senator Bob Huff said “As a former member of the State Assembly and long-time Congressional staffer for Congressman Ed Royce, Young Kim has already demonstrated detailed understanding of our district and a positive track-record of representing us on our issues.”

Yorba Linda Mayor Tara Campbell said “Young Kim is one of the hardest working people I know. She has and continues to engage with every community in this district, making a lasting impact and difference in their lives.”

Former Monterey Park Mayor Betty Chu added, “Not only does Young work hard, she works hard for everyone; not just for the voters within her district. She has shown that she cares for all of us and she is going to win.”
