Los Angeles — Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles has held the First 2019 Press Conference in the evening of January 10, 2019. Among all the great announcements that the Chamber is going to make, the biggest excitement is to meet with the 2019 Miss Los Angeles Chinatown Pageant Contestants.
The Press Conference started after Chamber’s recognition and appreciation to their long‐time Sponsors such as Commerce Casino, Cathay Bank and Young Engineering.
This is the 2019 Miss Los Angeles Chinatown Pageant Contestants’ first ever and official appearance to the public. After months of training, they only have a few weeks to face their challenge in lifetime, the Miss Los Angeles Chinatown Pageant. This year will be the 54th Miss Chinatown Pageant held on January 26, 2019 at the San Gabriel Sheraton and hosted by the Chamber. The first Miss Los Angeles Chinatown Pageant was held in 1963. Chinese Chamber of Commerce continues to carry its mission to remind the next generation of Chinese American of their heritage and culture. The highlight of the announcements of night is the greatest event held in Chinatown, the 120th Golden Dragon Parade which will be held on February 9, 2019! As always, the Parade attracts 80K‐100K people to watch. There are limited Bleacher seats (Grandstand) left. Tickets to Grandstand seat is available at Eventbrite.com. Over 100 different parties, organizations, groups will be participating at the Parade. As usual, the entire Chinatown will be closed from 10am‐4pm. Chinese Chamber believes that there will be the greater crowd this year to celebrate the Year of Pig and the 120th Parade.
