Los Angeles—Hong Bo Art Show featuring his California landscape paintings will be unveiled at Los Angeles Art Station located in San Gabriel on February 10.
Hong Bo, aka Chu Hai Tang Zhu, born in China, is the founder and director of the Chinese Painting Institute (USA), a member of China Artists Association, and serves as a guest professor at the University of California, Hainan University and Shanghai Film Art Academy.
Hong Bo’s depiction of California landscape in Chinese painting style has drawn wide attention and recognition among artists both in China and the United States. Viewers can feel fresh and vivid spirit from his painting works.
“Such well known landmarks as Hollywood Hills, Grand Canyon, Yellow Stone National Park in my paintings resonate among American viewers, and thus inspire their interests in Chinese brush paintings,” said Hong.
“The human being is tiny in comparison with mother nature. Natural beauty can bring people peace and joy. I have traveled to a lot of places in America, and am deeply moved by the amazing landscape. It is my hope that my paintings can help viewers get spiritually relaxed.” Hong added.
Besides painting, Hong is also dedicated to environmental protection. He intends to set up conservation fund under Hong Bo Foundation, and use the proceeds from painting auctions to contribute his part.
Paintings from the year of 2016 to 2017 will be displayed at the upcoming arts show.
