The Bay Area Council Celebrated Seventh Annual Chinese New Year Celebration on February 8th, 2017 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom ,San Francisco . More than 400 members, public officials and business leaders joined in celebration in San Francisco last night.
Chinese Consul General Luo Linquan on Wednesday joined state Treasurer John Chiang, state Board of Equalization Chair Fiona Ma, Assemblymember David Chiu and other top business and elected leaders at the Bay Area Council’s 7th Annual Chinese New Year celebration.
Council CEO Jim Wunderman welcomed Consul General Luo and Treasurer Chiang as they reaffirmed their dedication to a strong, positive, and mutually beneficial relationship between California and China in front of an audience of 400.
With three offices in China – Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou – the Council has been working for almost a decade to grow bilateral trade and investment, helping companies enter the Chinese market and bring Chinese investment to the Bay Area.
The celebration was made possible through the support of Royal Business Bank and Executive Vice President Simon Pang, along with Bay Area Council members Kaiser Permanente, Dignity Health, Nixon Peabody, DLA Piper, and the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office.
