LASD Industry Station Detectives Seeking to Identify Burglars of a local Jewelry Store

On March 17, 2016, at approximately 4:15 PM, the suspects entered “C&L Jewelry Repair,” located at 1600 Azusa Avenue #335, City of Industry.  Suspect 1 asked the owner to clean his personal jewelry and while the owner was busy, he lifted the display case glass, possibly with a coin, and stole an allotment of gold rings totaling approximately $10,000.00.  Suspect 2 interacted with the business owner and appeared to distract him, while Suspect 1 tested the security of the display case.  Minutes later the crime was committed while the owner was busy with Suspect 1’s jewelry.

The photographs attached were captured by the store’s video surveillance system during the commission of the crime.  Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.  Suspect 1 is described as a male, black, 35-40, with black hair and two thick braids, wearing a black or brown button-up shirt and black or dark jeans. The suspect also has an earring in his left ear lobe.  Suspect 2 is described as a male, black, 35-40, with a tan hat, white t-shirt, tan shorts and a black backpack.
